Mission Statement
Brixham Church of England Infants' School and Neighbourhood Nursery
"working, playing, learning, together..."
Reviewed by the Governors and Diocesan Education Officer annually.
In the changing, challenging face of the 21 st Century, our aims not only reflect the ethos of our School, but they provide a commitment to the future of our children, their community and the wider world.
Learning will take place within a challenging, caring environment where children are confronted with beauty, goodness and truth.
(1) To nurture our children socially, physically, spiritually and academically as lifelong learners.
(2) To support each child so that each may have an opportunity to develop as an individual and feel themselves valued.
(3) To bear witness to the Christian Faith within the school, having regard for its Church of England foundations so that children are encouraged to develop an appreciation of Christian commitment and values.
(4) To underpin all learning with rigour and enthusiasm in all areas of the curriculum.
(5) To give children the personal and intellectual skills and strategies needed in a changing society.
(6) That staff, parents, governors and children work together to develop an awareness and a respect for, not only each other, but for the social, economic and cultural differences within the world.
